Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) is a natural healing aid that can be used during oral surgery. The process begins by drawing a small amount of blood from your arm. Because it comes from your own body, it is completely biocompatible.

The blood is placed in a centrifuge, which spins it to create a fibrin membrane rich in platelets and growth factors. During procedures such as a tooth extraction, this membrane is placed directly into the socket before suturing.

PRF has powerful healing properties. Patients often report less discomfort, faster healing, and an overall more positive recovery experience.
