What Procedures Are Included in a Full Mouth Reconstruction?
In this video, Dr. Diane Hines explains what to expect during the full mouth reconstruction process.
Full mouth reconstruction typically takes place over several appointments. The first step is to determine which type of appliance best suits the patient’s needs and goals. Once a decision is made, we take a series of impressions and provide a temporary healing appliance. This allows the patient to “test drive” their new smile and experience how it looks and feels.
When it’s time to create the final appliance, we make any adjustments or refinements based on the patient’s feedback. This ensures that the finished restoration is comfortable, functional, and meets the patient’s expectations.

Dental implants are titanium screws that we use to replace missing tooth roots. When you lose teeth, you lose the roots responsible for stimulating your jawbone. Over time, a lack of stimulation leads to bone loss that affects your jaw and facial shape. The only way to prevent bone loss is to replace missing tooth roots with dental implants! [...]

A gap in your smile affects more than just your appearance. Over time, missing teeth may affect your ability to eat and speak clearly, as well as the quality of your jawbone. Because natural teeth have roots that stimulate your bone, losing teeth causes your jaw to go unstimulated. Gradually, your jawbone will resorb, or lose mass and volume, [...]

In the movies, there is always someone undergoing some sort of transformation. Whether it’s spiritual, emotional, or physical, characters need to grow in some way to show they’ve changed and become more confident. In real life, it doesn’t usually work like that. There is no 5-minute makeover sequence where you’re magically cooler at the end. But what if you [...]
Floating dentures are loose denture prosthetics that won’t stay still in your mouth. Rather than resting securely on your jaw, these dentures float around on your gums, shifting with every bite you take. Unfortunately, most traditional dentures loosen over time. No matter how much denture glue you use or how many denture relines you schedule, your traditional denture will [...]
