How Long Has Dr. Hines Been a Dentist?

In this video, Dr. Diane Hines shares how she began serving patients in Metro Detroit more than 30 years ago and why she’s still committed to this community today.

I have been practicing dentistry in the Metro Detroit area for over 30 years. In December 2006, I joined this practice under unique circumstances. At the time, the previous doctor suddenly passed away, and the office needed someone to step in quickly to care for patients and support the staff. Through a connection my husband had with the doctor, I was asked if I would be willing to help.

When I first arrived, my focus was simple: How can I help the patients? How can I support the staff during this challenging transition? A sudden loss like that creates uncertainty. Patients worry about their ongoing care, and staff worry about their future. I was grateful for the opportunity to provide stability and reassurance during that time.

What began as stepping in to help turned into something lasting. I eventually purchased the practice, and I still see many of Dr. White’s original patients to this day. More than 20 years later, I remain committed to providing compassionate, high-quality dental care to this community.
